About The Role

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for researchers and domain experts who want to do meaningful, high-impact work on their own schedule. No prior AI experience needed — just rigorous scientific knowledge and a sharp eye for quality.

What You'll Do
- Develop, solve, and critically review advanced material science problems with real-world scientific relevance
- Apply your expertise in semiconductor materials, molecular modeling, or related domains to design complex, rigorous problem statements
- Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to strengthen AI model reasoning
- Evaluate AI-generated scientific content for accuracy, depth, and methodological soundness
- Ensure scientific rigor, clarity, and precision across all deliverables
- Complete task-based assignments independently on your own schedule
Who You Are
- Master's or PhD in Material Science or a closely related field
- Deep expertise in semiconductor materials, molecular modeling, or adjacent specializations
- Comfortable coding in Python or MATLAB for research or technical applications
- Naturally detail-oriented with a systematic, rigorous approach to scientific problems
- Strong written communicator — you can explain complex concepts clearly and precisely
- Fluent in English
Nice to Have
- Prior experience with data annotation, data quality evaluation, or AI training workflows
- Background in computational materials science, thin films, nanomaterials, or device physics
- Experience reviewing or grading advanced scientific work
- Familiarity with AI tools or evaluation platforms as an end user
