The Role

An exciting opportunity is available for a Senior Associate or Special Counsel to join a highly regarded Corporate & Commercial team, working closely with two experienced Partners across a broad mix of sophisticated transactional and advisory matters. You will work with an impressive client base ranging from SMEs and high-growth businesses through to national organisations, financial institutions and sporting bodies, advising on matters including:

  • Mergers & acquisitions, business sales and acquisitions
  • Corporate advisory and general commercial matters
  • Corporate governance and Corporations Act compliance
  • Intellectual Property matters
  • Commercial contracts and strategic commercial arrangements
  • Shareholder agreements, business structuring and restructures
  • Capital raises and investment transactions
  • Regulatory compliance, privacy and data protection
  • Advising boards, executives, business owners and investors on corporate risk and governance obligations

This role offers exposure to a diverse range of industries including financial services, technology, infrastructure, sport and emerging businesses. You'll enjoy a high level of client contact from day one, with the opportunity to manage your own matters while collaborating closely with respected Partners on complex transactions and strategic advisory work. The team has established systems and processes in place to support quality work, mentoring and genuine career development.

About You

This opportunity would suit a Senior Associate or Special Counsel with 5+ years' PAE in corporate and commercial law, gained within a reputable private practice.

You will have experience advising clients across a broad range of corporate and commercial matters. A collaborative approach is essential, as you'll work closely with two highly regarded Partners while also taking ownership of your own matters and mentoring junior lawyers as the team continues to grow.

Most importantly, you'll be someone who enjoys building long-term client relationships, thrives in a supportive team environment and is looking to play a meaningful role in the continued success of a well-established and respected practice.
