We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to join a major Government digital transformation program. This role will suit someone with a strong development background across Node.js, REST APIs, CI/CD, automation, monitoring and modern DevOps practices. You will support the delivery of scalable digital platforms, improve system performance, and contribute to reliable, user-focused technology outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain RESTful APIs
• Develop full-stack applications using Node.js and React, Vue or Next.js
• Build and maintain dashboards for application performance and user metrics
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across development and deployment cycles
• Develop scripts and automation tools to reduce manual tasks
• Integrate applications with GitLab, Jira and Microsoft Teams
• Support CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation and release processes
• Work closely with technical teams and stakeholders to deliver quality outcomes

About You

• 2–3+ years’ experience in Node.js full-stack development
• Experience with React, Vue or Next.js
• Strong RESTful API development experience
• Experience with Jira, VS Code and DevOps practices
• Exposure to GitLab, CI/CD pipelines or deployment automation
• Experience with dashboards, monitoring, metrics or application performance
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Highly Regarded

• GitLab CI/CD pipeline experience
• Accessibility, inclusive design or WCAG knowledge
• Automated testing, documentation or AI-assisted delivery workflows
• Government or large-scale digital delivery experience
