About the Project and Opportunity
ACCIONA as part of the Activus Alliance is set to begin construction of a key piece of rail infrastructure that will improve commuting times and upgrade stations between Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
As Contract Administrator, you will manage cost administration and contract compliance for a major infrastructure project. You will support project delivery by ensuring accurate cost tracking, managing variations, and maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers. This role is critical to achieving commercial outcomes and supporting project success.
Key Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for the effective administration of subcontracts through all phases of the project, including scope preparation, subcontractor management, claims/variations processing, completion and close out
- Maintain accurate records of contract correspondence, variations, and claims
- Prepare and submit progress claims and invoices in accordance with contract terms
- Assist in the resolution of contractual disputes and claims
- Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with contract terms
- Prepare and maintain a contract register and schedule of contract deliverables
- Identify and manage risks as well as opportunities
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and company policies and procedures
Skills and Capabilities we are seeking
- A Tertiary qualification in a relevant field and/or substantial experience performing the role
- A solid foundation of experience in contracts administration, preferably in the construction or infrastructure industry
- An ability to build conducive relationships with subcontractors in sometimes challenging environments whilst having the confidence to negotiate terms for win/win outcomes
- A high level of attention to detail and ability to manage a workload with competing priorities
