About The Graduate Program

The Calvary OnePlus Graduate Nurse Transition Program (GNTP) is a 12-month structured program designed to support new nurses in developing clinical skills, knowledge, and professional confidence.

Program Highlights

  • 2 × 6-month rotations across areas such as:
    • Medical and surgical wards
    • Perioperative services
    • Mental health
  • 0.8 FTE (minimum 32 hours/week)
  • Opportunities to nominate preferred rotations
  • Optional exposure to critical care

Eligibility Criteria Mandatory

  • Registered Nurse with AHPRA (or eligible by start date)
  • Valid working rights in Australia
  • No prior participation in a graduate program
  • Less than 3 months’ nursing experience
  • Ability to work minimum 32 hours/week

Desirable

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Understanding of the nursing process
  • Commitment to professional development

Your application must include:

  • Resume (maximum 2 pages)
  • Unofficial academic transcript (including GPA)
  • ANSAT reports or 2 recent clinical assessments
  • Minimum of 2 referees (including at least 1 clinical referee)

Additional Requirements

  • Completion of a Bachelor of Nursing within 12 months of program start
  • Must hold:
    • Australian citizenship / permanent residency / valid full working rights visa
  • Pre-employment checks required:
    • Criminal history
    • Work rights
    • WWCC
    • Health screening (including immunisations and TB screening)
  • May include drug and alcohol testing
