The Role

We’re looking for a highly organised and proactive Marketing Coordinator to join the Events & Activations team within the Audiences Division.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, Events & Activations, you’ll be part of a national team that plans, coordinates, and delivers a diverse range of marketing and community engagement activity, from major ABC events to local radio promotions and cross-platform initiatives.

In this busy and varied role, you will contribute to the development and implementation of integrated marketing campaigns – with a particular focus on ABC Radio – that align with ABC strategy and objectives, to drive audience growth, participation and impact.

You Will Also

  • Coordinate the planning, execution and evaluation of integrated marketing campaigns, including communications, reporting, post-campaign analysis, and alignment with ABC strategic priorities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders across marketing, publicity, creative, social and media to deliver coordinated campaign outcomes.
  • Coordinate campaign operations and market activations, including creative briefs, asset management, approvals and on-the-ground promotional activities.
  • Develop, distribute and monitor marketing content across digital channels, social media, newsletters and promotional web pages, including copywriting and performance reporting.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with partners, media and community stakeholders.
  • Provide administrative and operational support, including stakeholder communications, financial processing and general campaign administration.

This position provides the opportunity for the successful candidate to work across both Sydney office locations: Parramatta and Ultimo.

About You

  • Demonstrated experience coordinating moderately complex marketing campaigns, events and projects, including the development of marketing collateral and assets.
  • Proven ability to exercise sound judgement and solve moderately complex problems in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong knowledge of broadcasting, digital media, podcasting and radio as well as an understanding of ABC content, channels and platforms, marketing initiatives and campaigns.
  • Proficient use of key social media platforms including, but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, X and YouTube, with a solid understanding of digital media trends, audience behaviours and industry developments.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills (written/verbal), with the ability to work independently and collaboratively, and engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and maintain databases and information systems with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in a range of software applications and tools, including CRM systems, social media platforms and relevant organisational systems, with the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies.
