An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Engineering Manager to join a rapidly growing owner-operator of large-scale critical infrastructure facilities. This senior leadership role will be responsible for leading a multidisciplinary engineering team supporting the design, delivery, commissioning and operational performance of complex, high-value infrastructure projects across Australia
Your new role
Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will:
- Lead and develop a high-performing multidisciplinary engineering team.
- Act as the technical authority across major capital projects and operational initiatives.
- Oversee engineering governance, design reviews, technical approvals and project standards.
- Drive coordination across electrical, mechanical, structural and controls disciplines.
- Manage technical risk, change control and engineering assurance processes.
- Support contractor and consultant engagement, tender evaluations and technical assessments.
- Oversee FAT, SAT, commissioning and operational handover activities.
- Champion engineering excellence, standardisation and continuous improvement.
- Partner with construction, procurement and operations teams to deliver business objectives.
Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with Australian standards and WHS requirements.
What you'll need to succeed
- Degree qualifications in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil or related Engineering discipline.
- Chartered Engineer status (or the ability to obtain registration).
- Extensive experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams on large-scale infrastructure, industrial, energy or mission-critical projects.
- Strong technical knowledge across HV/MV/LV electrical systems, mechanical services, civil and structural engineering, controls and commissioning.
- Experience managing engineering delivery through EPC contractors, consultants and OEM vendors.
- Demonstrated capability in technical governance, risk management and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong knowledge of Australian standards, regulatory frameworks and WHS requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
