Role Description

  • Naturally collaborative, you’ll enjoy dealing with and developing strong professional relationships with people across multiple levels of an organisation.
  • You have demonstrated procurement and strategic sourcing experience encompassing the entire sourcing lifecycle.
  • Your knowledge of sourcing and category management will be complemented by a record of achievement in the identification of opportunities for commercial savings and process efficiencies across the entire sourcing lifecycle.
  • Negotiation, analytical and stakeholder relationship management skills will all be well-honed.
  • This hands-on role requires strong project management capabilities combined with excellent communication and documentation skills to drive successful procurement outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Engagement: Collaborate closely with client stakeholders to understand their procurement needs, business challenges, and objectives, ensuring that our procurement solutions align with their strategic goals.
  • End-to-End Sourcing: Lead and manage the full sourcing lifecycle for a range of categories, from defining initial requirements through to contract execution.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Leverage advanced analytics to identify cost-saving opportunities, improve procurement processes, and deliver tangible value for clients.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, trusting relationships with clients at all levels, becoming their go-to advisor on sourcing and procurement matters.
  • Business Case Development: Develop financial and commercial models to support business cases and decision-making, providing clear, data-backed recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Clear Communication: Present complex data and insights in a clear, engaging, and persuasive manner—whether in written reports, presentations, or client workshops.
  • Client Deliverables: Produce high-quality consulting deliverables, such as reports, presentations, and workshop materials, ensuring they meet client expectations and deadlines.
  • Business Development: Strong client focus and actively growing further and new business through client retention, networking, social media and assistance in the development of client proposals and contribute to business growth initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or category management within a client-facing role.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and drive decision-making.
  • Proven success in building and managing client relationships, delivering consulting services, and adding value through strategic sourcing.
  • Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of driving commercial outcomes.
  • Proficiency in Excel for data analysis; experience with ERP systems and business intelligence (BI) tools is highly advantageous.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex information for diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
