Director, Corporate Finance & Strategy
JMES (Jon Michel Executive Search)
Join one of Australia's leading infrastructure organisations as it delivers a multi-billion-dollar investment program that will shape the country's energy future. This is not a traditional corporate finance role. You'll work at the front end of major infrastructure investments and growth initiatives, partnering with project, commercial and executive teams to shape investment decisions before projects are approved and delivered. With exposure to a consistent pipeline of strategic growth opportunities, you'll help determine where capital is deployed and how value is created.
For someone aspiring to become an infrastructure or energy executive, this role offers an exceptional combination of transactions, strategy and operational influence.
Based in Sydney, the Director of Corporate Finance will play a key role in evaluating, structuring and governing major capital investments by:
- Leading financial analysis and valuation of large infrastructure projects and strategic initiatives
- Partnering with project teams from inception to ensure commercial outcomes are embedded throughout the investment lifecycle
- Ownership of corporate valuation model and provide oversight of valuation and investment case
- Supporting capital allocation, investment governance and strategic decision-making
- Working closely with executive leadership, Board stakeholders and sophisticated investors
You'll likely bring experience from investment banking, infrastructure investing, project finance, strategic finance within a capital-intensive organisation, or relevant team from Big 4 consultancy and demonstrate:
- Deep corporate finance, valuation and financial modelling expertise.
- A track record evaluating major investments, transactions and capital projects.
- Strong commercial judgement and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- A genuine passion for strategy, infrastructure and long-term value creation
This is a rare opportunity to move beyond pure transactions into a role where you'll influence both investment decisions and commercial outcomes across a long-term infrastructure and energy pipeline. It offers genuine breadth across corporate finance, strategy and operational partnering, making it an outstanding platform for those looking to build towards leadership roles in the energy transition.
