Responsibilities

The Intermediate or Senior Accountant will be primarily responsible for assisting Managers with tax consulting and tax compliance needs of our client base ranging from SME businesses to multinational groups.

In addition to the general tax compliance engagements, you will also assist with:

  • Drafting complex letters of advice ranging from SME issues to international tax matters
  • Assisting with due diligence engagements and other aspects of M&A transactions
  • Assisting with tax restructures and related advice work
  • Preparation of tax effect accounting calculations and income tax returns
  • Indirect and employment tax advice work
  • Preparation of Fringe Benefits Tax returns

As an intermediate or senior accountant, you will also be responsible for coaching and mentoring junior staff members as a part of the broader engagement team.

You will have

  • A Business, Commerce or Law Degree
  • CA Qualified/ Tax Institute (CTA) accreditation or working towards
  • 3+ years taxation compliance and consulting experience
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to draft complex letters of advice, reports and other client documents, ability to undertake analysis and support conclusions.
  • Exposure to tax effect accounting, small business CGT advice and international tax matters would be an advantage.
