Position overview

The Australian National University (ANU) provides accommodation for nearly 6,500 domestic and international students who call our beautiful campus their home. Each Residence offers high quality facilities and a unique lifestyle, culture and ethos. The ANU Residential Experience Division is notable for its quality, variety, and support of students' academic, leadership and personal development.

The Deputy Residence Manager will support the Senior Residence Manager to foster a community through organisation of engagement activities and help ensure student wellbeing and success while living and studying at ANU. The Deputy Residence Manager may be requested to be on-call, as required.

The Deputy Residence Manager will deliver programs at the Post-Graduate residences that help provide a world class residential experience to the students on campus. Working closely with partners across the University. The Deputy Residence Manager will help create a safe, respectful, supportive and inclusive living experience through co-ordination of the Residence as a community, with particular emphasis on academic, wellbeing and pastoral care, safety and student development.

The successful applicant will be able to work confidently in a complex environment, build a collective understanding of service development imperatives and engage with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
