Full Stack Engineer with a leading Banking client (consulting through FinXL)

Join FinXL's software development practice as a Full Stack Software Engineer (back-end focused) for a long-term engagement within a leading wealth management program in either Sydney or Perth CBD! You will play a key role in a major transformation initiative by delivering significant technical enhancements and driving advice automation solutions and AI Integrations.
The Role
- While this is a Full Stack position, we are seeking a back-end focused engineer who approaches feature development with an end-to-end mindset. You will be joining a dedicated Java tech-stack, contributing heavily to the uplift of a major Wealth technology platform.
- Tech Strack: Java, JPA, Hibernate, MariaDB, NoSQL, MongoDB, JSON objects, Vue.js and Angular.
Key Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience in back-end focused full stack development and end-to-end delivery.
- Hands-on, proven experience with Java, Angular, and Hibernate.
- Strong experience building and integrating RESTful APIs.
- Proven experience working in a complex corporate environment, with a strong understanding of strict compliance standards and frameworks.
- Any prior experience within the Wealth Management, Superannuation, or Financial Advisory sectors is highly desirable.
Engagement Details
- 12 months contract with a Banking client.
- Hybrid working model with 2-3 days/ week in the office in Sydney CBD or Perth CBD.
