Optimum Health Solutions is seeking an Occupational Therapy Discipline Area Manager to join our leadership team in Tasmania.
This role offers the opportunity to combine clinical excellence with people leadership, allowing you to mentor clinicians, influence service quality, and contribute to organisational growth while maintaining a clinical caseload.

About The Role
As Occupational Therapy Discipline Area Manager, you will work closely with operational and clinical leaders to ensure Occupational Therapists are supported, developed and empowered to achieve exceptional client outcomes.
This Role Focuses On Four Key Leadership Areas
Staff Performance
- Drive accountability to clinical standards, KPIs and performance expectations
- Support clinicians to achieve outstanding client outcomes
- Ensure compliance with clinical policies and best-practice frameworks
Staff Retention
- Foster a positive, supportive and inclusive workplace culture
- Implement initiatives that improve engagement, wellbeing and retention
- Build a high-performing and connected team environment
Staff Development
- Develop individual career development plans for clinicians
- Support professional growth and clinical specialisation pathways
- Provide mentoring, coaching and leadership support
Clinical Practice
- Maintain a clinical caseload of approximately 21 billable hours per week
- Lead by example through the delivery of high-quality Occupational Therapy services
- Support complex client presentations when required
About You
You are an experienced Occupational Therapist with a passion for developing people, leading teams and maintaining clinical excellence.
You Will Bring
- Minimum 4 years of Occupational Therapy clinical experience
- Proven ability to achieve and exceed clinical performance expectations
- Strong leadership, coaching and mentoring capability
- Experience supporting clinician growth and development
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities
- A collaborative and solutions-focused approach
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current AHPRA registration
- Current driver's licence and access to a vehicle
- Current CPR and First Aid Certificate
- Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- National Police Check
- Medicare Provider Number (or eligibility to obtain)
- Ability to travel between sites when required
