Optimum Health Solutions is seeking a Discipline Area Manager to join our collaborative leadership team and play a key role in developing, supporting and empowering clinicians across our growing Behaviour Support division.
This newly created position offers the opportunity to combine leadership, mentoring and strategic workforce development while maintaining a clinical caseload and remaining connected to client outcomes.

About The Role
As Discipline Area Manager, you will partner with operational and clinical leaders to ensure clinicians are supported, developed and empowered to deliver exceptional client outcomes while achieving performance expectations.
This Role Is Built Around Four Key Leadership Pillars
Clinical Leadership & Performance
- Drive accountability to KPIs, billable expectations and clinical standards
- Support clinicians to deliver evidence-based Positive Behaviour Support services
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies and best-practice frameworks
Team Development
- Develop tailored career development plans for clinicians
- Support caseload growth and professional progression
- Provide coaching, mentoring and performance feedback
Staff Engagement & Retention
- Foster a positive, supportive and inclusive team culture
- Drive initiatives that improve employee engagement and retention
- Promote clinician wellbeing and professional satisfaction
Clinical Practice
- Maintain a clinical caseload of approximately 21 billable hours per week
- Lead by example through high-quality service delivery
- Support complex clinical presentations when required
About You
You are a confident and collaborative leader who enjoys helping clinicians succeed while maintaining high standards of care.
You Will Bring
- Minimum 4 years of Behaviour Support or Allied Health clinical experience
- Proven ability to achieve and exceed performance expectations
- Strong leadership, coaching and mentoring capability
- Experience supporting clinician development and performance improvement
- Strong understanding of Positive Behaviour Support and NDIS frameworks
- Excellent communication, relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to balance leadership responsibilities with a clinical caseload
Essential Requirements
- Minimum Proficient Behaviour Support Practitioner registration
- Current driver's licence and access to a vehicle
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- National Police Check
- Medicare Provider Number (or eligibility to obtain)
- Ability to travel across multiple locations as required
