We are seeking a Lift Service Technician (Electrician) to join our high-performing Service team in Darwin, NT . In this role, you will service Darwin and the surrounding regions, taking responsibility for the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of KONE equipment. Your focus will be on ensuring our customers receive fast, reliable, and high-quality service while helping to keep their equipment operating safely and efficiently.
What will you be doing?
Attending breakdowns on Escalators and Elevators
Attending to maintenance activities and repairs
Working on major repairs on elevators and escalators including machine replacements, hoist rope or belt replacements, handrails and drive units.
Some remote travel might be required during the year to service and repair customer equipment – places include but not limited to Alice Springs, Gove, Katherine, Tennant Creek & Yulara.
Carrying out all activities in accordance with KONE policies and procedures including health, quality and safety standards
Working to actively maintain customer relationships in the local region
Availability to be on an after-hours call roster
What are we looking for?
Lift and Escalator industry experience preferred
Knowledge of control and drive systems an advantage
Current Electrical Licence in Australia and must be able to obtain a Northern Territory licence along with a trade Certificate III in Electrotechnology
Other trade qualifications is an advantage
Experiencing managing critical breakdowns and key stakeholder’s expectations
Full driver licence is required
Motivated and self- starter who can manage workload and competing priorities
Commitment to working safely with a strong focus on quality
A customer service mindset
Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
Any other duties reasonably required by management
