Safety Business Partner
Strait Link
Are you passionate about creating safer workplaces and influencing real change? Do you enjoy partnering with leaders, coaching teams and helping people make better decisions every day?
At Strait Link, we're looking for an experienced Safety Business Partner to drive our safety culture across a diverse and dynamic logistics operation. This is more than a compliance role—it's an opportunity to influence the way we work, build capability across the business and help ensure every person goes home safely, every day.
You'll work closely with operational leaders and frontline teams, providing trusted advice, practical support and strategic guidance to embed safety into everyday decision-making. If you're looking for a role where your expertise is valued and your work makes a genuine difference, we'd love to hear from you.
Why Strait Link?

From our vessels and ports to our warehouses, depots and transport network, our people are at the heart of everything we do. Every shipment, every journey and every delivery relies on a team committed to working safely, supporting one another and continually improving the way we operate.
As our next Safety Business Partner, you'll play an important role in helping us strengthen that culture while supporting one of Australia's most critical freight networks.
What You'll Be Doing
As a trusted advisor, you'll partner with leaders and frontline teams to create a proactive safety culture built on collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
In this role, you will:

- Lead incident investigations and drive meaningful corrective actions.
- Facilitate risk assessments and support effective critical risk management.
- Maintain and continuously improve our Safety Management System.
- Deliver safety initiatives, audits, reporting and training programs.
- Support compliance with WHS legislation while focusing on practical, operational outcomes.
- Build strong relationships that encourage engagement, ownership and continuous improvement.
About You
You're an experienced safety professional who enjoys working with people just as much as systems and processes. You know that the best safety outcomes come from building trust, influencing behaviour and leading by example.
You'll bring:
- Qualifications in Workplace Health & Safety, Occupational Health & Safety or a related discipline.
- At least five years' experience in a Safety Advisor, Safety Partner or Safety Business Partner role.
- Strong knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and contemporary safety practices.
- Experience working with Safety Management Systems, including DoneSafe or a similar platform.
