About the role
As a Product Support Specialist – Electrical, you'll play an important role in supporting the electrical power solutions industries depend on.
Based at our Mulgrave Support Office, you'll provide technical expertise, product support and guidance to our service teams, branches and customers across Australia. Working closely with technicians, engineers and industry specialists, you'll help diagnose complex issues, support field operations and contribute to the ongoing success of our electrical power generation products and solutions.
This is an opportunity to build your technical capability while working with advanced equipment, evolving technologies and some of the most experienced professionals in the industry.
Key responsibilities include
- Providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance for electrical power generation equipment and systems
- Supporting field service teams with diagnostics, fault finding and problem resolution
- Assisting with commissioning, maintenance and performance optimisation activities
- Liaising with OEMs, suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve technical issues and improve product performance
- Contributing to technical documentation, training and continuous improvement initiatives
What you'll bring
We're looking for someone who brings both capability and a collaborative mindset.
Required:
- Electrical trade qualification and current Electrical Licence
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems and equipment
- Proven fault-finding, troubleshooting and diagnostic capability
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- High level of computer literacy and ability to interpret technical documentation
Highly regarded:
- Experience with power generation equipment, generators or control systems
- Previous product support, technical support or field service experience
- Exposure to Caterpillar power systems or industrial electrical applications
