About the Role

In this role, you will be working on a combination of security operations and project delivery. You will be responsible for implementing, and monitoring advanced security protocols tailored to a large complex environment. You will leverage your skills in Python scripting and Linux systems to identify vulnerabilities, automate security tasks, and respond to incidents. Additionally, You will be responsible for implementing and managing security tools like CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender, and Tenable, while supporting key initiatives such as the IAM uplift, alignment with the Essential Eight, and improving their overall security position.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enforce cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive data.
• Administer and optimize SIEM, SOAR, EDR, and endpoint security solutions to enhance threat detection and incident response capabilities.
• Perform security assessments, vulnerability testing, and risk analysis across Microsoft Defender and security monitoring platforms.
• Lead incident response efforts, working with IT teams to investigate, contain, and remediate security threats.
• Conduct compliance audits to ensure adherence to data privacy regulations.
• Provide technical expertise across identity management, virtualization, endpoint, network, and security architecture environments.

Skills and Experience

• Strong proficiency in Python scripting for automation, security operations, and custom tool development, with knowledge of additional scripting languages.
• Extensive Linux administration expertise, including system hardening, security configuration, monitoring, and vulnerability management.
• Demonstrated experience leading incident response activities and coordinating remediation across multiple stakeholders.
• Hands-on experience with security technologies including firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM platforms, CrowdStrike, Tenable, and Microsoft Defender.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or OSCP preferred.
