Employment Lawyer

We are currently working with a specialist boutique Employment Law firm in Perth that is looking to add an Employment Lawyer to its team due to continued growth and an increasing workload.

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for an Employment Lawyer to join a growing team and work on a range of complex employment and industrial relations matters. You will receive ongoing support and mentoring from the Managing Partner, who maintains an open-door policy and remains closely involved in all matters, while gaining significant client exposure and responsibility from an early stage.

Key Responsibilities

• Advising employer clients on a range of employment and industrial relations matters
• Managing unfair dismissal, general protections, breach of contract and shareholder disputes
• Drafting employment contracts, agreements and strategic legal advice
• Representing clients throughout the litigation process
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships
• Managing matters with increasing autonomy and responsibility
• Working closely with and receiving ongoing mentoring from the Managing Partner

About you

• 2+ Years PAE
• Experience practising within Employment and Industrial Relations law
• Strong drafting, advisory and technical legal skills
• Ability to manage multiple matters and work independently
• Comfortable dealing directly with clients and building relationships
• Perth market experience preferred
• Commercially minded with a genuine interest in developing business and growing a practice
