Our Production Superintendent drive the success of our projects and make considerable impact on Macmahon’s overall performance. You’ll work with experienced teams, make decisions that matter and lead safe, efficient and high-quality delivery across our project.
About the Role
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will provide leadership and direction to production teams, collaborating closely with site leaders to uphold Macmahon’s safety-first culture and achieve operational objectives. You will be responsible for driving production performance, optimising resources and ensuring the successful execution of the mine plan.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate production activities to safely achieve daily, weekly and monthly mining targets
- Monitor production performance and implement strategies to maximise fleet utilisation and operational efficiency
- Provide leadership, coaching and support to Production Supervisors and operational teams
- Work closely with Technical Services and Maintenance teams to optimise mine plan delivery and equipment availability
- Manage production resources and respond to operational challenges to minimise delays and downtime
- Champion a culture of safety, integrity, continuous improvement and operational excellence
What You’ll Bring
- Demonstrated leadership capability and extensive experience managing large-scale surface mining operations
- RIIRIS402D – Carry Out the Risk Management Processes
- BSBWHS411 – Implement and Monitor WHS Policies, Procedures and Programs
- Strong knowledge of mine planning, production execution and fleet management principles
- A strong focus on safety, with the ability to lead and embed WHS standards across operational teams
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across operations, maintenance and technical services
- A results-driven mindset with a passion for operational performance, continuous improvement and people development
