About the OPPORTUNITY

Passionate about the environment and continuous improvement? Hazell Bros is seeking an experienced Environmental Advisor to ensure our practices meet client and legal requirements, ISO 14001 standards and community expectations.

Reporting to the Environmental Manager, you’ll bring proven experience as an Environmental Advisor, applying your knowledge across our diverse operations including civil infrastructure, quarrying, concrete and industrial works.

Based at our Derwent Park Head Office, this role includes frequent travel. To support this, a fully maintained work vehicle for private use (or an allowance if you have a suitable vehicle) and a fuel card are provided.

About the ROLE

  • Implementation of environmental measures across Hazell Bros operations
  • Developing project specific environmental management plans
  • Site inspections and audits
  • Reporting environmental performance and compliance
  • Liaising with project teams to ensure works comply with all legal and other environmental requirements
  • Mentoring employees on best practice environmental management and communicating with clients and external stakeholders

About YOU

  • Previous Environmental Advisory experience in a similar working environment (civil construction or quarries desirable)
  • Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline
  • Sound knowledge of relevant environmental legislation and approval processes
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience or training in erosion and sediment control
