About the Role
Reporting to the WHS Manager, you will play a key role in supporting Miwatj Health’s, Safety and Wellbeing strategy. You’ll work closely with leaders and staff to create a safe, healthy and compliant workplace through strong systems, education, and continuous improvement.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll influence safety culture, support risk management and contribute to meaningful outcomes across remote and regional settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and maintain WHS systems, policies and compliance frameworks
- Facilitate risk assessments (including psychosocial risks) and mitigation strategies
- Assist with incident investigations and root cause analysis
- Deliver WHS training, inductions and awareness initiatives
- Support workers compensation and return-to-work programs
- Monitor, analyse and report on WHS data and trends
- Build strong relationships and provide practical safety advice across the organisation
About You
- Experience in a WHS advisory or coordination role
- Knowledge of WHS legislation and risk management principles
- Experience in incident investigation and injury management
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to deliver training and influence positive safety behaviours
- Ideally experience in the Health sector and / or working remotely in an NT context
- High attention to detail and a solutions-focused mindset
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health & Safety (or related discipline)
- Current Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card)
- National Police Check
- Manual Driver’s license
