The role

  • This is a newly created Workplace Relations Specialist role, arising due to company growth
  • The role is based at Coregas Yennora NSW and some presence in the Supagas Liverpool NSW office (both Nippon Sanso Australia companies).
  • Some flexibility is available, and part-time may be considered for the right applicant

The Workplace Relations Specialist will provide advice and support on employee and industrial relations matters, including interpreting awards, enterprise agreements, and employment legislation. The role will involve managing workplace investigations, supporting grievance and performance management processes, and helping leaders resolve complex people issues.

The specialist will draft and review employment-related documentation, policies, and procedures, and assist in negotiations with employee representatives where required. Day to day, the role will also include preparing reports, maintaining accurate employee relations records, delivering training or briefings to managers, and partnering with HR and business leaders to promote a positive, compliant, and high-performing workplace culture.

Who you are

  • Sound knowledge of Australian employment law, modern awards, enterprise agreements, and workplace relations best practices.
  • Proven experience in managing workplace investigations, employee grievances, disciplinary processes, and performance management matters.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft clear policies, reports, and employment documentation and to communicate complex information to diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with managers, team members, and external stakeholders while maintaining confidentiality and professional integrity.
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and recommend practical solutions.
  • Experience working in employee relations, or industrial relations within a manufacturing, logistics, or industrial environment is highly regarded.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Law, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
