About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced
Digital Identity Lead, to shape and drive Curtin’s digital identity strategy, strengthening our identity resilience and enabling secure, seamless access for everyone who connects to the University.
This is a key leadership role, for someone who has successfully matured identity programs at scale. You will help translate strategy into practical, future-focused solutions while leading a skilled technical team to deliver modern identity and access management capabilities that strengthen security and provide seamless access for staff, students and external users.
Your responsibilities will include
- Lead the delivery, operation and improvement of the University’s Digital Identity platform for staff, students and external users.
- Manage technical and outsourced resources to ensure high-quality and timely outcomes.
- Provide technical leadership for enterprise IAM initiatives, modernisation programs and continuous platform improvement.
- Partner with Cyber Security, Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure and application teams to deliver secure identity services across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Ensure Digital Identity platforms remain secure, highly available, scalable and aligned with enterprise architecture and cyber security strategies.
- Foster team cohesion, motivation and professional development in a cross functional environment.
Who we are looking for (Selection Criteria)
- Relevant qualifications and extensive experience delivering enterprise digital identity strategies, architecture and operational services.
- Strong knowledge of modern Digital Identity concepts including Identity Governance and Administration (IGA), lifecycle management, Privileged Access Management (PAM), adaptive authentication principles. Experience implementing or supporting Digital identity platforms.
- Strong organisational and project management capabilities.
- Ability to build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with business and technical stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to influence outcomes.
- Willing to navigate change and build alignment across the team and priorities.
Desirable:
- Experience implementing Identity Governance or Privileged Access Management solutions.
- Experience with cloud identity platforms and hybrid identity architectures.
Role Requirements
- As this is a continuing (permanent) role, you will require permanent work rights in Australia to be considered

This Continuous G09 level role attracts a remuneration of $138,681 - $146,497 + 17% superannuation.
