About The Role
What if your hard-earned expertise in chemistry could directly shape how AI reasons through some of the most complex scientific problems in the world? We're looking for Chemistry Masters and PhDs to help train cutting-edge AI models — designing rigorous, real-world chemistry problems that push AI to think and reason like a true domain expert.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for serious scientists. No AI background needed — just deep chemistry knowledge and a commitment to scientific rigor.

What You'll Do
- Develop, solve, and review advanced chemistry problems with real-world scientific relevance
- Apply your expertise in organic, inorganic, physical, or computational chemistry to craft challenging, nuanced problem statements
- Evaluate AI-generated chemistry reasoning for accuracy, depth, and scientific validity
- Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to improve model performance
- Ensure every deliverable meets the highest standards of scientific rigor, clarity, and precision
Who You Are
- Master's or PhD in Chemistry or a closely related field
- Deep expertise in one or more of: organic, inorganic, physical, or computational chemistry
- Comfortable with Python or computational chemistry tools (e.g., Gaussian, VASP) — or eager to apply those skills
- Exceptional written communicator with a sharp eye for scientific detail
- Self-directed and reliable when working independently in a remote, async environment
- Fluent in English
Nice to Have
- Prior experience with data annotation, data quality, or AI evaluation workflows
- Background in research, academia, or applied chemistry in industry
- Familiarity with AI tools or scientific benchmarking as an end user
