Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Controller / Project Support Officer to support the successful delivery of projects and programs through planning, scheduling, governance, reporting, and administrative coordination. This role will also play a key part in improving project and business processes through the development and support of Microsoft Power Automate workflows and Power Apps solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide project coordination and administrative support across multiple projects and programs.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, action registers, work plans, and project documentation.
  • Prepare project status reports, dashboards, meeting packs, minutes, and governance artefacts.
  • Monitor project milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, and actions (RAID).
  • Support project governance activities, including steering committees and working groups.
  • Assist with procurement activities, contract administration, and vendor coordination.
  • Maintain project documentation and PMO templates.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated workflows using Microsoft Power Automate.
  • Develop and support business applications using Microsoft Power Apps.
  • Identify opportunities to improve project delivery processes through automation and digital solutions.
  • Collaborate with project managers and business stakeholders to deliver project outcomes.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in a Project Controller, Project Support Officer, Project Coordinator, or PMO Support role.
  • Mandatory hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Automate.
  • Mandatory hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Apps.
  • Experience developing and maintaining project schedules using Microsoft Project or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of project governance, reporting, and PMO processes.
  • Experience managing RAID registers and supporting project controls.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Excel, Word, Teams, SharePoint, and Power Platform.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience supporting procurement activities and contract administration.
  • Exposure to ICT, digital transformation, or technology projects is highly desirable.

Qualifications

  • Qualification in Project Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related discipline (desirable).
  • Understanding of project delivery methodologies and governance frameworks.
  • Queensland Government procurement experience is advantageous.
  • Procurement experience highly regarded
