Our client

Is an innovative Melbourne-based modular construction business delivering prefabricated solutions for hyperscale data centres, critical infrastructure and major commercial developments. Due to continued growth, they're seeking an Estimator to join their Preconstruction team.

Working closely with the Preconstruction Director, you'll play a key role in developing accurate estimates, pricing strategies and competitive tenders for complex modular building solutions including switchrooms, substations, UPS rooms, battery rooms and MEP modules.

The Role

  • Prepare detailed quantity take-offs from drawings, specifications and 3D models.
  • Develop first-principles estimates covering labour, materials, fabrication, transport and installation.
  • Prepare competitive tenders, feasibility studies and pricing submissions.
  • Coordinate subcontractor and supplier pricing.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Procurement and Project Delivery teams.
  • Assist with procurement budgets and project handovers.
  • Participate in value engineering and cost optimisation initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, consultants and suppliers throughout the tender process.

You'll bring

  • 5+ years' estimating experience within commercial, industrial or modular construction
  • Experience preparing competitive tender submissions.
  • Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with estimating software such as Cubit, Bluebeam, PlanSwift or similar.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • The ability to interpret architectural, structural and services documentation.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
