Laneway Talent is seeking experienced Senior Storage Engineers to join a large-scale enterprise infrastructure team supporting critical ICT platforms and services.

This is an initial 12-month contract based onsite in Canberra, offering the opportunity to work within a complex technology environment where you'll be responsible for the design, deployment, administration, and optimisation of enterprise storage infrastructure while contributing to the ongoing evolution of the organisation's data platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, configure, and administer enterprise storage solutions.
  • Monitor, optimise, and troubleshoot storage performance across physical and virtual environments.
  • Configure and manage Storage Area Networks (SAN) and associated infrastructure.
  • Develop high-quality solution designs, build documentation, operational procedures, and technical handover documentation.
  • Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery capabilities.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and platform teams to deliver reliable and secure technology services.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing across the team.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to storage and data platforms.

Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated experience supporting enterprise storage environments within large, complex organisations.
  • HPE 3PAR, Primera or Alletra Storage
  • NetApp E-Series
  • Dell Data Domain
  • Brocade Fibre Channel Switches
  • SANnav
  • Scality Artesca
  • Experience with Veeam Backup & Replication.
  • Strong understanding of SAN architecture, storage performance tuning, backup, recovery, and high availability.
  • Experience producing technical design, build, and operational documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage technical stakeholders and mentor team members.
