We're seeking multiple experienced Senior Storage Infrastructure Engineers to join a large-scale enterprise ICT infrastructure environment in Canberra. This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex, mission-critical storage and data platforms while contributing to the ongoing reliability, performance, and evolution of enterprise infrastructure services.

You will be part of a skilled Infrastructure Platforms team responsible for managing and supporting data centre infrastructure, storage systems, SAN environments, virtualisation platforms, and backup/restore capabilities, ensuring high availability and secure technology services across the organisation.

This role is ideal for a senior infrastructure specialist who enjoys solving complex storage challenges, working in enterprise environments, and contributing to continuous improvement of critical systems.

Role Details

Eligibility: Australian Citizenship required

Security Clearance: Baseline

Contract Duration: 12 months + up to 2 x 12-month extensions

Work Arrangement: Onsite in Canberra

Experience Level: Senior (EL1 equivalent)

Hours: Up to 40 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, configure, and manage enterprise storage systems across physical and virtual environments
• Administer and support Storage Area Network (SAN) switches and related infrastructure
• Perform troubleshooting, tuning, and performance optimisation of storage platforms
• Support backup and recovery environments and ensure data integrity and availability
• Produce high-quality design, build, operational, and handover documentation
• Contribute to storage strategy, uplift initiatives, and adoption of emerging technologies
• Provide mentoring, guidance, and knowledge sharing to junior engineers
• Participate in operational support activities, including after-hours support where required

Essential Skills & Experience

• Demonstrated experience in enterprise storage administration and support
• HPE 3PAR / Primera / Alletra Storage Systems
• NetApp E-Series
• Dell Data Domain
• Brocade SAN Switches
• SANnav
• Scality Artesca
• Experience working in large, complex ICT infrastructure environments
• Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills across storage systems
• Proven ability to produce technical documentation (design, build, operations)
• Strong communication skills, with ability to engage technical teams and stakeholders
• Experience with Veeam Backup and Replication
