Multiple Defence Cloud, AWS, Kubernetes & Security Opportunities | Canberra / Melbourne

PERSOL is now currently supporting a local Defence ICT Consultancy - they have several long-term Defence opportunities with ASD, covering Cloud Engineering, AWS/Kubernetes Infrastructure, Senior Cloud Systems Engineering and Lead Security Architecture.

These are 12-month contract roles with 2 x 12-month extension options, estimated to commence from 1 September 2026.

Current opportunities include:

• Cloud / Infrastructure Engineers (NV1, Canberra)
• Senior Kubernetes / AWS Infrastructure Engineers (NV1, Melbourne or Canberra)
• Senior Cloud Systems Engineers (PV, Canberra)
• Lead Security Architect (PV, Canberra)

Key experience we are looking for includes:

• AWS cloud infrastructure, landing zones and cloud-native solutions
• Kubernetes, EKS, ECS and containerisation
• Terraform, CDK, CI/CD and infrastructure automation
• Cloud security controls aligned with ISM, Essential Eight and PSPF
• CNAPP / SASE exposure
• IaaS, PaaS, backup and disaster recovery
• Security architecture, information assurance and solution architecture

Working arrangement: Onsite, subject to operational requirements

Engagement: 12 months + 2 x 12-month extension options

Due to the nature of the work, candidates must hold the required current clearance and be suitable to complete ASD's Organisation Suitability Assessment.
