- Day Shift | 38-hour week + overtime available
About Our Client
Our client is a well-established engineering and manufacturing company specialising in the repair and manufacture of precision components for heavy industry. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Heavy Machinist to join their skilled workshop team.
What You Will Be Doing
- Operating a range of manual machine tools including lathes, milling machines, horizontal borers and vertical borers
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings to manufacture components to specification
- Using precision measuring instruments and working to close tolerances
- Manufacturing components from a variety of material grades while maintaining high quality and safety standards
What You Will Need
- Proven experience operating manual lathes, milling machines, horizontal and/or vertical borers
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work to fine tolerances
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship
