WORKING ENVIRONMENT & PROJECTS

You will join a collaborative and technically strong team, working on major infrastructure and mining projects from concept through to feasibility. This is strategic, high-level cost work — preparing estimates, cost plans and investment appraisals that directly inform client decision-making at the earliest and most influential stages of a project.

You will work closely with clients and multidisciplinary engineering teams, providing cost advice that shapes project strategy, budgeting and investment decisions before projects move into detailed design and delivery. This provides broad exposure across a range of major infrastructure and resources developments.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare high-level strategic estimates and cost plans for major infrastructure and mining projects
  • Develop investment appraisals to support client decision-making from concept through to feasibility
  • Work closely with clients and multidisciplinary engineering teams to shape project strategy and budgets
  • Provide independent cost advice that informs key investment and funding decisions
  • Benchmark cost data and market intelligence to support estimate accuracy and reliability
  • Present findings and recommendations clearly to senior client stakeholders
  • Contribute to the development of estimating methodologies and best practice within the team

WHAT YOU NEED

  • Proven experience preparing strategic estimates and cost plans within a consultancy environment
  • Experience across major infrastructure, mining or resources projects at concept or feasibility stage
  • AIQS accreditation, or RICS chartership, is highly regarded
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear investment advice
  • Excellent client-facing, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work confidently alongside multidisciplinary engineering teams
