As Head of Brand & Activation, you'll own HBF's brand strategy, ensuring every interaction reinforces who we are, what we stand for and why members choose us. Partnering closely with senior leaders across Marketing, Commercial and Member Experience, you'll connect business strategy with powerful brand experiences that build trust, strengthen member relationships and support commercial growth.
Leading a high performing team of brand, content and creative specialists, you'll foster a culture of creativity, innovation and excellence while ensuring every campaign, partnership and brand interaction delivers lasting impact. This role is available in either our Perth or Melbourne offices.
Your day to day
- Defining and evolving HBF's long-term brand strategy, positioning and creative direction
- Leading integrated brand and activation strategies that strengthen awareness, engagement and member advocacy while protecting the integrity of the HBF brand
- Leading major brand campaigns, sponsorships and market activations that deliver commercial and member outcomes
- Using customer insights, market trends and brand performance data to inform strategy and optimise investment
- Building and developing a high-performing Brand & Activation team, creating an environment where people thrive
- Partnering with senior stakeholders to ensure the brand supports HBF's strategic priorities, transformation agenda and long-term growth
About you
You're an experienced brand and marketing leader who understands the role a great brand plays in driving business performance. You combine strategic thinking with creative leadership and know how to translate commercial objectives into compelling brand experiences that resonate with customers.
Whether you're shaping long-term strategy, influencing executive stakeholders or inspiring creative teams, you lead from the front and bringing others on the journey.
Comfortable managing significant marketing investment, you'll bring experience overseeing large media budgets, optimising paid media, search and performance marketing strategies, and making data-driven decisions that maximise return on investment.
You also bring
- Extensive leadership experience in brand, marketing or integrated communications within a complex organisation
- A proven track record developing and executing successful brand strategies that deliver measurable business outcomes.
- Experience leading large-scale integrated campaigns across paid, owned and earned channels
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance creativity, customer outcomes and business performance
- Demonstrated success leading agencies, creative teams and cross-functional stakeholders
- An authentic leadership style with a passion for developing people, fostering innovation and building high-performing teams.
