What You'll Do
As a Structural Engineer, you'll work as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering projects from concept design through to construction.
Your role will include:
- Structural analysis and design of building structures across a range of materials and structural systems
- Preparation of calculations, reports, drawings and detailed technical documentation
- Reviewing documentation to ensure compliance with relevant standards and project requirements
- Coordination with architects, contractors and other engineering disciplines
- Site inspections and construction-phase support
- Identifying and resolving technical challenges through practical and innovative design solutions
- Supporting project delivery from concept design through to construction, as well as client engagement and design management
- Contributing to the continued growth and technical excellence of the practice
This is a full-time position based in Melbourne.
What You'll Bring
We're looking for someone who is technically capable, motivated to learn and enjoys working collaboratively to achieve great outcomes.
Ideally, you'll have:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in Structural or Civil Engineering (Washington Accord recognised) majoring in Structural Engineering.
- 2 to 5 years experience
- Strong foundation in Structural Engineering, with the ability to apply engineering principles to buildings projects.
- Proficiency in Structural Analysis and Calculations, including the use of relevant software tools to assess loads, stability, and performance.
- Working knowledge of Australian standards, building codes, and common construction practices.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
- Strong attention to detail, a problem-solving mindset, and commitment to safety, sustainability, and quality in design.
- CPEng, RPEV or progress toward professional registration will be viewed favourably
