Cherished Pets Foundation is a purpose-driven charity supporting people and pets experiencing vulnerability, crisis and change. Through a unique combination of veterinary expertise, social work support and volunteer services, we help people and their pets remain together during some of life's most difficult circumstances.

As the Foundation continues to evolve, it is seeking a practical, values-driven Chief Executive Officer to provide dedicated executive leadership and help guide the Foundation through its next chapter.

Reporting to the Board, you will lead the organisation across strategy, operations, fundraising, partnerships, stakeholder engagement and organisational development. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring someone who can balance strategic thinking with day-to-day operational involvement while remaining connected to the people, communities and animals at the heart of the Foundation’s purpose.

· Leading organisational strategy and performance.

· Strengthening financial sustainability and fundraising capability.

· Building partnerships across community, government and philanthropic sectors.

· Supporting and developing a passionate team and volunteer network.

· Ensuring effective governance, compliance and risk management.

· Championing the human-animal bond and the Foundation's mission.

About You

You are an experienced and compassionate leader with a strong track record in the community, health, social services or not-for-profit sectors. You bring sound commercial and financial acumen, excellent stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to build sustainable relationships and funding opportunities.

Most importantly, you are motivated by purpose and are excited by the opportunity to help strengthen the long-term sustainability and impact of an organisation making a genuine difference in people's lives.

• Remuneration of up to $130k per annum (full-time equivalent)

• Initial nine-month contract, with the Board intending the role to continue beyond this period subject to funding availability
