The Westport Club | Part-Time Chef/Cook

Are you a passionate chef who loves creating delicious and memorable experiences for our local community, then this is the opportunity for you! The Westport Club based on the Hastings River in the beautiful town of Port Macquarie has an opening for a Part-time Chef/Cook.

We are seeking dedicated and committed individuals who will create great, quality meals across our high-volume kitchens serving our restaurant, café and events centre. To apply you'll need at least a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or an equivalent. Our ideal candidate is experienced in fast paced, high-volume kitchen. Your creative vision will leave our guests with an amazing, memorable experience.

Your Day-to-Day Duties Would Include

• Food preparation and cooking during service periods, functions, and special events
• Preparation and execution of all dishes across restaurant, café, and event operations
• Operating pans, grills, and fryers efficiently while maintaining safe work practices
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in safe food handling and food safety standards
• Providing input and recommendations to leadership regarding menu design, implementation, and food/labour cost management
• Supporting stock control processes and assisting with monitoring waste minimisation
• Adhering to correct food organics waste disposal procedures and contributing to environmentally sustainable practices
