Wellways is looking for a compassionate and reliable Disability Support Workers to join our supportive team on a casual basis. This role is ideal for someone who brings warmth, patience and genuine care to their work, with experience in mental health highly regarded.

About The Role

You will deliver person-centred support to individuals living with disability, ensuring they feel safe, valued and supported in their everyday lives. This role offers a variety of shifts designed to suit your lifestyle, including overnight and weekend work, while providing 24/7 care to participants in their home environment.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Providing respectful personal care and daily living support
  • Supporting participant overnight to ensure comfort and safety
  • Building trusting, caring relationships through consistent and compassionate support

About You

You bring a caring and compassionate approach to supporting people with disability and are reliable, dependable and committed to consistently showing up for participants. Experience supporting people living with mental health challenges is highly regarded. You are comfortable working overnight and weekend shifts and have a genuine willingness to learn, with training provided.

Previous experience working in disability, community services or mental health is valued. We also recognise the importance of life experience, including experiences gained as a carer, parent or through supporting others. Pre-employment requirements

  • Minimum Qualification in Individual support/Community Services is desirable
  • Evidence of working rights within Australia such as a passport or birth certificate
  • A current valid Driver's License and an insured and registered vehicle
  • Satisfactory Police Records Check
  • Blue Card and NDIS Workers Screening Check
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate – free online certificate
