About The Opportunity

Business Review Group (BRG) is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the Department of Defence's Guided Weapons & Explosive Ordnance (GWEO) Enterprise within the GWEO2092 project.

This role provides end-to-end project management support across governance, planning, reporting, acquisition and contract administration activities. Working closely with the Project Manager and Integrated Project Team (IPT), you will coordinate project execution, support governance forums and contribute to nationally significant capability outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support delivery of GWEO2092 project objectives, milestones and strategic outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, risk registers, battle rhythms and action tracking.
  • Prepare monthly progress reports and corporate reporting products.
  • Support GWEO CABSUB execution and annual planning activities.
  • Coordinate completion of Independent Assurance Review (IAR) remediation activities.
  • Maintain the Integrated Project Management Plan (IPMP), Communications Plan, Stakeholder Plan, Project Execution Strategy, Acquisition Strategy, Materiel Acquisition Agreements and Project Collaborative Agreements.
  • Coordinate Integrated Project Team (IPT), Project Steering Group and governance meetings.
  • Prepare agendas, briefing packs, committee papers, meeting minutes and action registers.
  • Support Smart Buyer Reviews, Independent Assurance Reviews (IARs) and Lessons Learned workshops.
  • Prepare executive briefs, presentations and committee documentation.
  • Monitor project risks, issues, dependencies and reporting obligations.
  • Support organisational and financial reporting activities.

Commercial & Procurement Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage Foreign Military Sales (FMS) case documentation.
  • Draft Exemptions to Procurement (ETPs), Section 23 approvals and Liability Risk Assessments.
  • Support contract establishment and amendment activities.
  • Liaise with Materiel Procurement, Legal Services and Financial Advisors.
  • Prepare documentation for DEFMAT approval and execution.
  • Assist in developing Commonwealth Contracting Plans (CCPs) for Direct Commercial Sales contracts.

Required Experience

  • Experience delivering Defence acquisition or capability projects.
  • Strong governance, reporting and stakeholder management skills.
  • Project scheduling, risk and issue management experience.
  • Experience supporting Defence committees and executive governance forums.
  • Knowledge of Defence procurement, acquisition and contract management processes.
  • Excellent written communication and documentation skills.

Highly Desirable

  • Experience within GWEO or CASG environments.
  • Smart Buyer Reviews and Independent Assurance Reviews (IARs).
  • Foreign Military Sales (FMS).
  • Defence procurement documentation including ETPs, Section 23 and DEFMAT.
  • One Defence Capability System (ODCS).
