About The Role
Mad Mex is entering an exciting new chapter.
With a newly defined brand strategy and refreshed look and feel, we are looking for a General Manager of Brand & Marketing to lead the next phase of our brand evolution and commercial growth.
This role is fundamentally a brand leadership role, with marketing as the engine that brings the brand to life. You will own how Mad Mex shows up across every touchpoint, shaping perception, emotional connection, and long-term brand equity, while also driving commercial outcomes.
You will oversee Brand, and lead the Marketing function to ensure everything we put into market is consistent with our brand strategy, emotionally resonant, and commercially effective.
To Crush It In This Role, You’ll
- Own and elevate all brand touchpoints across the business, ensuring a consistent and powerful Mad Mex brand experience; Store design, customer experience, product and digital platforms
- Lead the Marketing team to deliver bold, creative and effective brand-led marketing
- Develop the annual marketing strategy and plan in partnership with the Leadership Team
- Drive brand building, digital and commercial growth initiatives across all channels
- Ensure marketing activity delivers measurable ROI and strong business impact
- Lead innovation in marketing, including the use of AI to maximise impact and efficiency
- Manage partners, influencers and external relationships to ensure brand alignment and performance
- Oversee marketing budget, forecasting and performance tracking with a balance of brand and commercial outcomes
What You Bring
We are looking for someone who:
- Has 10+ years’ experience in Brand management & marketing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, ideally with challenger brand experience
- Has strong leadership experience in marketing, ideally within fast-paced, scale or challenger brands
- Has multi-unit retail experience
- Is commercially minded and understands marketing as a driver of revenue growth
- Has deep experience across brand, digital, social, loyalty and campaign marketing
- Is confident using data, insights and performance metrics to guide decisions
- Thinks creatively and challenges traditional marketing approaches
- Has experience managing teams and delivering results in dynamic environments
- Brings curiosity, innovation and a future-focused mindset, including AI and digital innovation
