Project Supervisor Water

The Opportunity

The Project Supervisor Water plays a key role in delivering capital works projects across Council's water and sewer networks. Working closely with Project Managers, contractors and operational teams, you will provide on-site supervision, monitor contractor performance, ensure compliance with specifications and standards, and maintain accurate project records. You will act as the critical link between project leadership and field activities, ensuring timely communication, quality outcomes and safe project delivery.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys being in the field, solving problems and driving continuous improvement. You'll contribute to contract administration activities, oversee inspections and testing requirements, champion workplace safety, and help deliver essential infrastructure projects that support our community.

What you'll bring

  • Minimum Certificate III in Civil Construction or Water Operations (or similar), and a current white card.
  • Experience supervising civil, water or sewer infrastructure construction works and contractors.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering plans, drawings, specifications and construction standards.
  • Sound knowledge of water and sewer construction practices, WSAA Codes, WHS and Environmental legislation, and relevant industry standards.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build productive relationships and provide a high level of customer service.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems, drive process improvements, maintain accurate records, and contribute to contract and project management activities.
  • A Class C Driver Licence.

Salary: Salary range $77,741.93 - $90,374.60 p.a. plus superannuation (negotiable based on skills and experience).

A to and from vehicle arrangement will be made with the successful candidate for this role. This is a fully maintained vehicle for business a use only.

Location: This position will be based at our Administration Centre in Yalawanyi Ganya at 2 Biripi Way, Taree. You may also be required to be based from other Council sites across the MidCoast Council region.

Tenure: Permanent, Full Time.
