The Role

At Crown Perth, we create exceptional entertainment experiences for our guests, from world-class productions to unforgettable live performances. We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Manager Theatre Operations to lead the end-to-end operations of our theatre venues, ensuring seamless delivery, commercial success, and outstanding guest experiences.

Reporting to the Group General Manager Crown Theatres, you will lead theatre operations across front of house and back of house functions. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, financial performance, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement across all theatre operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership across theatre operations, ensuring seamless delivery of all productions and events

  • Oversee front of house, technical and venue operations to deliver exceptional guest experiences

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders including bars, AV and technical services to optimise service delivery

  • Implement and continuously improve operational processes, standards and procedures

  • Analyse market trends and identify opportunities to enhance the theatre offering and guest experience

  • Lead and develop a high-performing leadership team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

  • Act as a key escalation point for Theatre Venue Managers and operational teams

About You

  • Proven senior leadership experience within entertainment, theatre, hospitality or large-scale venue operations

  • Solid theatre technical and production knowledge, with experience supporting the successful delivery of live performances and events

  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and operational performance

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams

  • Demonstrated experience across both front of house and theatre technical/production environments, with a strong understanding of live performance operations and production delivery

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think critically and act decisively

  • Tertiary qualification in business, commerce, entertainment or related discipline (desirable)
