About the Role
RMIT is seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Executive Recruitment to lead our executive hiring function and play a pivotal role in shaping the University’s senior leadership cohort. This is a high‑impact position within the Talent team, responsible for delivering a consistent, strategic and research‑led approach to Executive and senior leadership recruitment across Academic Colleges and non‑Academic portfolios.
You will oversee confidential search activity, drive global market intelligence, and build strong partnerships with Executive stakeholders, external search firms and industry networks. As a key member of the Talent leadership team, you will also lead and develop a small, high‑performing team and contribute to broader talent strategy.
About You
You are an experienced Executive Recruitment leader who thrives in complex environments and brings a strategic, insight‑driven approach to identifying and securing exceptional senior talent. You excel at building trusted relationships with Executive and Board‑level stakeholders, influencing decisions with confidence, clarity and strong sector knowledge. You combine rigorous search capability with global market intelligence, enabling you to anticipate emerging leadership needs and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
You are a collaborative leader who builds capability in others, fosters high performance and contributes meaningfully to enterprise‑wide talent initiatives. You bring sound judgement, professionalism and a commitment to delivering an outstanding stakeholder experience. As a visible ambassador for RMIT’s brand and EVP, you engage confidently across industry forums and maintain strong partnerships with external search firms.
To be successful, you will bring
Extensive experience in Executive and senior leadership recruitment, including confidential search and global market mapping.
Strong strategic influence, credibility and communication skills at Executive and Board level.
Proven ability to interpret market intelligence and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
Exceptional relationship‑building capability and a collaborative, customer‑focused mindset.
Demonstrated leadership experience, including coaching, mentoring and performance development.
Sound judgement, creativity and resilience in a complex environment.
