We're looking for an organised, customer-focused Functions Sales Coordinator to join our Melbourne team. In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for clients planning corporate and social events, managing enquiries from initial contact through to event handover while delivering outstanding service and driving sales.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Manage inbound function and event enquiries via phone and email.
  • Prepare proposals, quotations, booking agreements and event documentation.
  • Coordinate bookings from enquiry through to handover with venue operations.
  • Build strong relationships with corporate and social clients.
  • Conduct venue inspections and promote our event spaces.
  • Upsell function packages and venue offerings to maximise sales opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate booking records and client information.
  • Liaise with venue teams to ensure all event details are communicated accurately.
  • Provide exceptional customer service throughout the client journey.
  • Assist with venue administration and contribute to continuous process improvements.

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience working in a hospitality environment
  • Minimum 1 year of administration experience
  • Minimum 1 year of functions or events coordination experience
  • Previous experience in customer service
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • A proactive, sales-focused mindset with the ability to build lasting client relationships
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and booking or reservation systems
  • A positive attitude, initiative and a genuine passion for hospitality
