Linux Migration Engineer

Job Description

• Proven experience in Linux systems administration and engineering, with a focus on datacentre migrations.
• Strong experience in handling Linux Operating System RHEL, CentOS
• Migration Planning & Execution: Develop and execute migration plans for datacentre workloads, including P2P and P2V migrations, leveraging HPE Zerto, VMware SRM, and native tools.
• Design Documentation: Prepare comprehensive migration design documents outlining architecture, processes, risk mitigation, and rollback strategies
• Working experience with HPE Zerto and VMware SRM migration tools preferred.
• Solid understanding of storage technologies (SAN, NAS, DAS), volume management, and backup solutions.
• Knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, and firewall configuration.
• Familiarity with security best practices for datacentre environments, including encryption, access control, and vulnerability management.
• Experience preparing detailed migration design documents and runbooks.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve complex technical issues under pressure.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Flexible to work after hours to cater to application migration
