Join the Trailer Suction Hopper Dredger TSHD Brisbane, as Relief Master where you will lead and manage the crew in the safe and efficient operation of the vessel as well as the planning, assessment and execution of dredging works by the vessel.
The TSHD Brisbane is the Port’s main dredging asset, equipped with the latest state-of-the-art automation control and navigation systems. The vessel provides channel and berth maintenance to Ports up and down the eastern seaboard; operating 24/7, 365 days a year, with two crews working 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off.
A leader, skilled, and great with people: here’s who we’re looking for.
- You will hold a current Master Unlimited (1) and ECDIS endorsement with extensive experience leading dredging operations.
- You hold a current AMSA Certificate of Medical Fitness.
- You promote and role model a safety first culture, by demonstrating a thorough awareness, understanding and compliance with health and safety policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Whilst the roster is 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off, you have flexibility to cover leave for both Masters.
- You’re driven to deliver results and take accountability for all assigned work.
- You’re resilient and enjoy working within a small team environment.
