Site Supervisors (Electrical/SMP/Welding/Painting) (S26) - 8/6 Roster until March 2027 - Perth Base

KAEFER have an exciting opportunity for experienced SMP/Painting/Electrical/Welding (CERT 10) Supervisors to work on a major project in the Pilbara region with a Tier 1 mining client, offered on an 8/6 roster with point of hire being Perth only. The Supervisors roles will provide leadership, technical oversight and operational coordination across multiple work fronts. This is an opportunity to influence project outcomes, support frontline teams and contribute to a high‑performance culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee activities across the project.
  • Provide and maintain a healthy and safe work environment in line with KAEFER’s Health and Safety Policy.
  • Coordinate resources, scheduling and daily activities to ensure efficient job execution and accurate progress reporting.
  • Effectively manage site operations, including subcontractor performance, compliance and work quality.
  • Provide on‑site coaching, mentoring and technical support to supervisors and frontline teams.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and capability to undertake additional duties aligned with your qualifications and experience.
  • Ensure direct labour is efficiently organised and utilised to achieve project outcomes.
  • Promote strong communication and collaboration across all levels of staff, clients and stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies and implementing corrective actions where required.

About You

Painting Supervisor

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar Painting Supervisory role within the Mining, Construction or Oil & Gas industry
  • Hold Section 26 (S26) qualification to be appointed as a supervisor
  • Experience performing multidisciplinary inspections, interpreting isometric drawings, investigating discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide strong leadership, direction and mentoring.
  • High attention to detail

SMP Supervisor

  • Mechanical Trade Qualification (Certificate III) – mandatory.
  • Minimum 3 years’ supervisory experience in mechanical maintenance, shutdowns or heavy industry.
  • Hold Section 26 (S26) qualification to be appointed as a supervisor
  • Current C Class Driver’s Licence.
  • Proficiency in CMMS systems (SAP) and frontline leadership training – desirable.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
  • Demonstrated capability in managing teams, coordinating complex work fronts and maintaining high safety and quality standards.
  • A willingness to learn, adapt and continually improve your technical and leadership skills.

Electrical Supervisor

  • Qualified electrician with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a supervisory role
  • Hold Section 26 (S26) qualification to be appointed as a supervisor
  • Thorough knowledge of electrical standards, regulations and best practices
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with team members and stakeholders
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
  • Commitment to workplace health and safety
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required

Welding Cert 10 Supervisor

  • Cert 10 Welding Supervisor Qualification is mandatory, A Bachelor Mechanical Degree (or relevant) will be highly regarded
  • Hold Section 26 (S26) qualification to be appointed as a supervisor
  • Relevant experience as a welder within heavy fabrication, construction, mining or engineering environment;
  • Ability to understand and interpret weld standards;
  • Strong welding capability across multiple processes including FCAW, GMAW, TAW and MMAW processes;
  • Ability to train others;
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications;
  • Ability to read and interpret construction and engineering drawings
  • Strong organisational ability with time management, attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities
  • Able to work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • A proactive and results oriented mindset, able to prioritize tasks effectively
