My client, an Australian government-owned entity managing and providing aviation rescue and firefighting services, requires a General Services officer (Electrician)

Your new role

As a Technician Band 2/3, you will perform maintenance and/or support to airways facilities as per prescribed standards, to ensure the operational safety and integrity of the national airways' system. The safety of the air traffic system is the most important consideration when carrying out any duties associated with this position.

Specific position

In a maintenance service delivery context, undertake preventive and corrective maintenance activities in accordance with prescribed processes and procedures. Maintain an awareness and understanding of the impact that work undertaken can have on our systems. Timely and accurate data entry into the maintenance management systems. Actively identify opportunities for continuous improvement of service delivery and work practices. Maintain an effective working relationship with other staff to ensure that there is effective coordination of all activities in support of organisational objectives and coaching of other staff within the workgroup. Take part in the implementation of enterprise governance systems and policies, including safety, environmental, work health and safety, risk and compliance. Ability to obtain an Aviation security identification card and Australian Citizenship (requirement for Defence Baseline Security Clearance)

What you'll need to succeed

• Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician
• Current Western Australia Electrical workers' licence
• Current CPR/LVR
• Current Australian Driving Licence
• Construction industry White Card
• You will also need to be an Australian citizen to be considered for the role.

What you'll get in return

In this permanent role, your base salary will be up to $111'000 + super/penalties.
