About The Role

  • As a CBRE Data Center Technician,you will play a crucial role in maintaining the operational integrity of our critical infrastructure.
  • You will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and corrective repairs within a data center operation, ensuring the seamless operation of critical systems. Oversight of electrical and mechanical systems, including but not limited to: Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, generators, chillers, Electrical Distribution, HVAC systems, Building Management Systems (BMS) systems, and CMMS Work Dispatching.
  • This position is part of the Critical and Technical Services job function, focusing on delivering technical maintenance services in high-stakes client environments

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct daily site inspections of all Mechanical & Engineering systems and technical equipment, including servicing and maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure that the site's environmental conditions are conducive to a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Respond promptly to Building Management System alarms and perform emergency repairs as necessary.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors to ensure compliance with company-developed processes, procedures, and all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Notify management if subcontractor performance does not meet the requirements outlined in the Master Service Agreement
  • Execute planned preventative maintenance (PM) and reactive maintenance on all equipment.
  • Monitor the Building Management System for running and alarm conditions, addressing HVAC-related client issues.
  • Perform building walkthroughs, taking meter readings from UPS, PDUs, and utilities.
  • Address facility and plant faults and defects with effective solutions.
  • Complete assigned work following established processes and procedures, adhering to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements. Conduct routine quality checks to maintain comprehensive maintenance records.
  • Complete all required training to ensure the successful completion of job-related responsibilities.
  • Utilize existing procedures to solve straightforward problems, with limited discretion.
  • Impact through clearly defined duties, methods, and tasks are described in detail.
  • Deliver results by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.

What You'll Need

  • Valid ARC License
  • Minimum Certificate III qualification in AC & Ref /HVAC
  • 3-5 years of experience in air conditioning and refrigeration is required
  • Valid OH&S cards - optional
  • Additional technical training or certifications (advantageous)
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Familiarity with CMMS and BMS systems- Nice to have
  • Australian Citizenship – required for NV1 Clearance
  • White Card – optional but preferred
