Job Description
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of ICT projects within established timeframes and budgets.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including resource allocation and risk management strategies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure project objectives align with organisational goals.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to senior management and key stakeholders.
- Identify and address potential risks and issues to minimise project disruptions.
- Ensure compliance with public sector policies, standards, and procedures.
- Manage and mentor project teams to achieve high performance and successful outcomes.
- Utilise best practices in ICT project management to deliver quality results.
The Successful Applicant
A Successful Principal Project Manager - ICT Should Have
- Demonstrated experience delivering large-scale ICT projects within complex organisations.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities.
- Proven experience managing project budgets, resources, risks and project governance.
- Excellent communication, facilitation and negotiation skills.
- Experience leading and motivating cross-functional project teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience working in healthcare, government or other highly regulated environments.
- Knowledge of digital transformation, enterprise technology implementations or business system deployments.
- Formal Project Management qualifications such as PRINCE2, PMP or equivalent.
