About The Role

Our client is seeking an experienced

Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Smithfield Sydney 2164 NSW This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in our construction and estimating operations. As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for providing accurate cost estimation, detailed BOQ ,financial management, and project control throughout the lifecycle of our concrete construction projects.

Build-soft , bluebeam experience is a must.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Preparing detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for concrete construction projects of varying complexity and scale
  • Analysing project specifications, drawings and tender documents to determine material quantities and or labour requirements
  • Liaising with clients, contractors, architects and engineers to clarify project requirements and scope
  • Maintaining and filing all procurement
  • Monitoring project costs throughout execution and preparing regular financial reports to identify variances and recommend corrective actions
  • Preparing bills of quantities and cost breakdowns for tender submissions
  • Conducting site inspections to verify quantities and assess progress against estimates
  • Managing variations, claims and contract administration matters to protect company interests
  • Utilising estimating software and digital tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency in cost analysis

What We're Looking For

  • Formal qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or related discipline from a recognised institution
  • Minimum 5 years' professional experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry, with demonstrated expertise in concrete or structural works using cubit and bluebeam
  • Strong proficiency in quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction costs, material pricing, labour rates and pricing schedules relevant to concrete construction
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to accurately analyse complex drawings and specifications
  • Proven ability to prepare detailed estimates, bills of quantities and cost reports.
